EBC may request access to the device camera when the user chooses to use the meter-reading capture feature. Camera access is used to capture or analyze meter information for the purpose of assisting with meter-reading entry.
Camera access is optional. Users who do not wish to grant camera permission can enter their meter readings manually. A camera permission is not required for ordinary manual bill calculation.
We use information only in connection with legitimate application functionality and the services described in this Privacy Policy.
3. Saved Bills, Meter Profiles and Insights
EBC can store billing history, bill information, meter profiles, preferences, and related information locally on the user’s device so that users can review and manage their electricity information over time.

7. PDF Reports and Sharing
EBC may allow users to generate bill reports from billing information available in the application. Reports are generated for the user and may contain billing information that the user has entered or saved.
When a user chooses to share a report, Android’s sharing functionality may allow the user to send it to another application or service. The user controls whether and where a report is shared. Once information is shared with another application or service, that recipient’s privacy practices apply.

EBC requests Android permissions only when they are needed for features provided by the application or its supporting services. For example, camera permission may be requested for the optional meter-reading capture feature, while network access is used for functionality that requires communication with online or third-party services.
